What’s your determination, your purpose, your mission? Deep down, what do you wish for? Are you living it or are you stuck? Did you give up on it, thinking it was not possible? All these questions. Why do we not value or believe in ourselves to know we can live what we thirst for?
It all comes down to thoughts.
All of us have automatic thoughts. They are with us daily. They were programmed into us from our observations as young children. Most of the time we don’t even realize they are there. They influence every decision we make. The first way to understand how we are influenced is to recognize that they are there. When a thought comes to you that you don’t like– one that goes against your purpose– start to dig in. Where did it come from? How did it get there?
There have been people in our lives that have given us perceptions about ourselves and the world around us that are untrue. Our thoughts and actions create our reality. Do your thoughts make you feel better or worse? Does it serve your better purpose?
Start writing in a journal.
Take out a piece of paper. Write down every fear, both unfounded and founded fears around what really speaks in your heart about your purpose. Define the purpose– break it down. Talk it through on paper. And that’s what you have to do. This helps you understand your fear– your untrue thoughts– and what you can do to be stronger and more confident each day. Facing our fears seems to be the hardest thing in the world to do. But it need not be. It just takes commitment and planning each day to listen to your self-talk. Allowing your true self to emerge will give you the strength. And remember as always, one step at a time.
